Believe me. Its not. There has been an overpowering air of depression over the UK for the past six months. Its quite difficult to find anyone who is optimistic about anything. Yes, similar issues are happening in Oz, but it has a hell of a lot more optimism - even after their dismal failure at the Olympics...
