lambda nut

What nut do I need for the lamda in the downpipe?
I think the S13 has M18 by 1.5 pitch nut. Is the S14/15 the same?

Also in FAST there seems to be an adapter on the lambda sensor

The lambda doesn't go in the downpipe. Its in the turbo elbow/dump pipe and should just screw in as a complete unit.

Sorry. I meant the dump-pipe (turbo-elbow).
problem is that the nut welded on the dump-pipe is the wrong one (maybe).
So I'll have to get a new nut and have it welded on.
Just wondering what to get.

Airtune sold the other dump-pipe to a company in Finland and they said that the lambda would fit if the adapter thingie was removed from the lambda and the sensor was mounted directly on the dump-pipe.

Never heard of the adaptor thingie before so I'm not so sure that it's correct.

I don't know what the issue is. This is the elbow I got (the big one - fantastic quality, seamless SS) and the lambda just transferred straight over...

I was wondering what thread the lambda has so I can get the proper fitting welded on to the dump-pipe.

Because the one I've got was hella-cheap
And i friend of mine can do the welding so that part will be cheap to

I could always have the stock dump-pipe removed and check what thread it is and then start to work on the new pipe.

Just thought it would be easier to have the replacement pipe ready.

Got mine from Creasey (http://www.cgarage.co.uk) on SXOC. Can't remember the price, but it was significantly cheaper than Apex, better design, and the best quality of SS you can get.

99.99% sure it is 18 x 1.5...

I think the issue that you see in the pictures is because there are 2 Nissan O2 sensors, the earlier type are narrower (can't remember how much) - therefore if you had this type you'd need the adaptor.

This shouldn't be a problem as all newer O2 sensors for Nissan are the 'standard size' I had a problem with my headers as I bought them for an S13 and the O2 sensor bung was smaller - didn't take more than a few minutes to cut it off and weld a proper sized one back on.

The two in the photo are for the S14 and S14a (Euro spec). The Euro S14a had a smaller elbow due to the additional cat. The larger elbow is the S14/S15 one.

i think that the one on the dump-pipe now is 22 x ? So it might be OK with an adapter?
