FS: S15 Carbon Cooling Panels

when do you think we will be ready to order the cooling panels?
how long will it take to manufacture and ship the panels?

I am waiting for the genuine Garage Defend panel to arrive still. It is on the way though, so hopefully that will be this week. Once I have it I can take it to get the mould made. Once the mould is made they will not take long to make at all. I reckon they will be ready in about 2-3 weeks.

I want to get them done ASAP as I'll be going away to Africa for 6 weeks at the start of April until mid-May, so if they aren't done by then, there will be a 6 week wait. I'll keep the thread updated.

The Garage Defend panel I ordered has arrived in the country now. I have paid the customs charge, so it should turn up any day now. I'll pop it over when I finish work on on Friday to get the quote and estimated timescale

Not as yet mate. I hopefully will have on Friday though when I take the GD one to the fiberglassers

Once I have a final price I will update this thread and send a PM to everyone on the list with a breakdown of the costs and other required details.
I will definatly need to take a deposit on these though before they are made as its going to cost nearly £2000 to get them all made and the last thing I want is to be stuck with 19+ cooling panels!!

I'll be looking to close this GB within the next week, so if you want one get your name down quick!

Unfortunatly not at a realistic price mate, only gloss.

To get a proper matt finish you have to basically suck all the resin out of it after it's been layed up which is a complex process . The way they will be constructed is a basic wet lay up with a gel coat on the outer side.
I could get them layed up in just carbon (without the FG backing) with the matt finish but they would be mega expensive!

I have thought about it myself but dont know. I suppose it could be offered for sale and the money split between everyone who's in the GB. Would work out at about £8 each I imagine. It really is p*ss thin though. I had a look on youtube how moulds are made and am confident to say it wont be in one peice afterwards!

Personally as you are going to the effort of sorting all of this Craig I am more than happy to pay £13 more and you can keep or sell the original.
There has to be some perks for the organiser!!
