I got the 13101 because of the larger in/out, I'll have 2x400lph walbro pumps running from the radium surge tank and if the FRP doesn't flow enough through it it will effect it's ability to regulate, especial an issue at idle etc. so decided on the 13101 for the orb10/-10AN in/out, also it's the same size as the mazworx rail which should make hook ups a bit easier.
Deliberated on the two types for ages though, was going to use the Aeromotive A1000, but I wanted some redundancy hence the two walbros.

Just checked out the heat shrink, raychem make some up to 8-1 but its not your normal, just saying that its available :)

fan wise I'm sure it will work as you've said, I'd check out the fuse rating for the air con fan, Don't suppose it will be high, however you main electric fan will likely be more juicy, you may have the swap out the fuse and cables from the fuse box (ac) to the fan, but not a big issue.

Thanks, I'll try to locate that fuse and the cables and at least see what they are and compare to what amps

I'll check what I have and what raychem do, thanks :)

I guess I'll have the same Mazworx rail so do you think it will be easier to use the same FPR as yours?
I'm going to go with a Z32 fuel filter for the time being, but will look to get something a bit more swanky soon. Maybe AEM

Found this about the VVL system http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0FUWFLTWCA&list=TLGEKMqqpVxWdeTZwdkoxziWtg3jADIM49

Thought I'd post a bit more about the manifold too. It is truly amazing build quality!
Mazworx 100% FTW
I'll be getting my manifold and downpipe from them next year no doubt!

And the inside of the plenum, just wow. Not a rough edge in sight.

Here are the runners. Perfectly CNC'd from circular at the plenum end to the right oval VE inlet shape. Also individual grooves all around the runners on the gasket face so that an O-ring can be used instead of a gasket.

Final touches start on Wed to get the car ready for mapping on the 28th! So happy

I've only ever seen VETs on YouTube. The sound is immense.

What's the realistic redline for this engine?

Well I'll be a pooofta and have it at 8k. With springs and retainers it would be more, 9k maybe but there isn't alot of benefit in it for me as my turbo will be well and truly out of puff by then! Water pump will be wanting to cavitate and the oil pump potentially frothing.

One for the future though... I've just had to rationalise what bits I do get a little while

When does the variable valve timing kick in? 4k rpm?

Around there, or a bit more.
It will all be calculated on the dyno. Runs on the low cams, then runs on the high cams, and whenever the Low Lobe power is overtaken by the High Lobe we'll have the swap. Unlike V-TEC, VVL can swap each cam individually, so chances are we'll have the intake swap first, followed soon by the exhaust.

Nope, no good atall for the power I'll run. Maybe for big power. If you look as the camshaft specs there is alot of 'overlap' between the two lobes, and for reasons that are beyond me that is no good. The 20V cams have the least overlap, if any atall.

I feel like I'm getting there now.
I have wired up the relays for the Altima fan shroud (boy does it shift air) TPS for the new throttle body, and most of all the pipework for the intercooler and intake.
I'll be mounting my ARC type air intake in the Wing, where the WMIC used to be. I have had to enlarge the hole in the wing for that alot but it should be fine.
The intercooler piping couldn't be much shorter if I tried, and combined with one of the best flowing intercoolers I should be laughing.
Just the intake manifold and fuel system to set up now, and double check the wiring.

16 days to go!!

Insurance looking to be around £1800 though for a 23year old, 3 yrs NCB on this car and tuned for 400hp. Could be worse...
