Hi Guys,

I’ve had my S15 for about a month so far and have been busy on the mods, manifold/down pipe fitted plus some bolt on parts (Blitz air filter/HKS SSQV3/Craft Square mirrors etc), waiting on the injectors to get the new turbo, Fuel Reg, HKS Fcon fitted and mapped.

I know the S15’s are sideways happy, and it may well be the Drift spec Coilovers but i’m finding the back end steps out just changing lanes when on boost? Ideas.. Having the suspension geometry check next week, hopefully it’s just the set up.

Wheels and engine internals are all planned for next year, will update as the build comes along.

Nice car dude! :) I assume it has the standard LSD and not a 2way as that would cause you to be skidding out easily!

Cheers mate, I haven't checked yet, is there anyway of checking without having the Diff out? It's going in for the geometry check next week so I may well ask the garage to check the diff as well, good idea.

nice car mate, wearing my favourite kit of all - vertex lang :smitten:

i'd love to see this in the metal at some point, maybe we could organise a southern meet when the weather picks up in a few months time....

Cheers
A mate of mine has one on his EVO 8MR and it sounded awesome, you can adjust the funnel to change the sound of the intake, on mine however it doesn't have quite the same effect as the SSQV is so loud (love it though), only put it on a couple of days ago so need to play with the funnel, it's certainly nicer than the HKS one that was on it originally.

nice motor mate, as for the stepping out issues, would it be the tyres on the rear? having good tyres makes a HELL of a difference on the '15. i found just changing to toyo's cured my car's sideways tendancies!

I agree with Jay, tyres and alignment will make a huge difference! If its a 2way LSD you will probably hear it clunking when turning round corners mate and it would lock the rear up with the smallest amount of slip.

Cheers guys

There's no clunking when turning so hopefully it's a stock diff, will try and get this confirmed when it's in the garage next week.

Tires wise I definitely have mickey mouse tires all round, rears are the ones that came with the car from Japan and the fronts needed to be changed as the vibration through the car was ridiculous, the garage changed the tires but fitted cheapos... (this did fix it though)

What Toyo's are you running, the T1-R's?

I think once the alignment is done next week I will need to invest in some new tires !!
