I’ve bought a set of 18x10j XXr wheels which have a set of bolts running around the outside, split rim type.

I’ve just gone to fit these on my car and the bolts are catching my callipers *facepalm*

It looks like I’m going to need a 20mm spacer to clear the callipers which I’m assuming will take my wheels from a 0 offset to a -20et.

What’s the chances I’m going to get these under standard rolled arches with no flare. I have camber adjustment on the front so could stick a bit more camber on there to get them in but there currently set at -4deg. I’ve also got 235/40/18 tyres fitted so there’s a fair stretch on there.

This is the wheel in question….

Im about to purchase a set of 17x9s et38 all around. Just wanted to double check with someone that they are gonna fit without any trouble on HSD coilovers. I expect that im probably gonna need some spacers to clear the coilovers on the front, and might guards have to be rolled. What do you think? :)

On a 9 should get away with et20 depending on what tyre you run. I had 18x9 et20 with 225/40 and light roll on the arch cleared fine

Rears are good...maybe fronts would be better between +28 to +30 with that width
Lowest offset is +32, I'll put a spacer in if needs be, how about tyre sizes? Was thinking of going 225/40 in the front and 235/40 in the rear? Car will be lowered about 10-25mm from stock height.

Wheels: 7Twenty Style 49
Size: 18" all round
Offset: ET 18 all round
Tyres: 225/40 R 18 - Stretch is a bit crazy but any wider tyres and arch work/more camber required
Spacers: Front Hub centric 20mm spacer for caliper clearance giving the front an effective offset of -2, Rear 5mm slip on spacer effective offset 13
Suspension: Driftworks CS2 coilovers, camber on the front (not fully setup yet will update when i get it into my work to set it up properly)
Comments Wheels do stick out a fair bit at the front so camber definitely required, could do with pulling arches out at the front and rear.

I ran 8.5 et30 and 9.5 et30 on mine with 225/40 ,255/35 respectively . I had to roll the rear arch flat back and light roll on the front plus a3-5mm spacer on the front ,from memory ,as it was hitting my coilovers ( depending on which set up you have it may not cause you issues as I know a few who run the same set up without spacers and had no issues )

Thanks for the help so far guys, picked them up today. 17x9 et38 all around. Gonna run 8-10mm spacer on the front. Would it be possible to force in 240/40 tyres all around without loads of camber? Obviously with arches flattened.

On a 9 you will probably need to be closer to et20 . I ran 18x9 et 20 with a 225/40 and that just cleared . Have a go on the will it fit site mate should give you a good guide

I would put a 235 on the front and a 255 on the rear with those widths...you can go lower if you want a stretch look....225xF...235xR
